1. A little cruel but true. Is that because the expectations were so high because of others evaluations, because something happened to Carl Crawford and John Lachey putting on new uniforms, because other teams have learned how to pitch to them or because their pitchers are really not as good as advertised?

   Love the sentiment and at this point in the season it may be true….but if you play the averages the sox should be back fairly soon.. Thats what I keep hoping for the slayoR…they have been sooooo bad for sooooo long that they have to eventually get better, don’t they?

   this may be their year but they have only played 12 games of 162 and so far they are, I think, 7 up and 5 down. I keep hoping the can get to May and warmer weather at .500 and then we shall see what happens. And the Rockies are leading the NL west.

4. I’m loving this. I’m one of those people who hate the Yankees more than the Sawx, but I loathe the Yankees, too.

   But Drew…The NHL Playoffs are underway! I know they’re long (like the NBA) but there is no finer suspense than playoff overtime hockey! My only gripe with the Stanley Cup Playoffs is the seeding system – when I was growing up, the first two rounds were intradivisional, which meant those rivalries like Chicago-Detroit or Boston-Montreal would get really nasty in the early rounds. Gary Bettman making the league just like the NBA was a step back.

7. I think it’s hilarious how a team can go on a bad stretch like this and everyone freaks out. The Red Sox aren’t as good as everyone thought they’d be, but they’re nowhere near as bad as they’ve shown.
