1. Good Morning from Omaha,

   we all have our favorite sports that we participate in, mine is bike riding and the tour. My mom,who is 75 years old, plays tennis 3-4 times a week and loves it.

   She gets up at 6 am to catch wimbleton and loves it. she watches the french open, the u.s. open everything and anything tennis. If at 75 I am still able to get out and participate in my favorite sport like she does.

   We haven’t heard from Louis lately and hope he is doing well.

2. Dear Drew,

   There was a time when I was a huge tennis fan. Though I will admit it was because I was a teen who had a major crush on Chris Everett.

   I suppose one of the reasons I started fading away from it was when the racquets became so powerful that tennis games started becoming what I call “ace”-fests. There wasn’t as much skill to me to do an ace as it was to have long rally’s. The last time I really got interested in a match and found myself determined to watch it to the end was the 5 set super-marathon Isner-Mahut match. That was the match where I found myself constantly shouting “You have got to be kidding me!” as the contest went on and on (……and on and on).

3. I was always a big Jimmy Connors fan. I loved watching him play.

   McEnroe just rubbed me the wrong way. I like him as a commentator now, though, and his cameos in movies are classic.

4. Another great rivalry of days gone by – Agassi vs. Sampras.

   How to fix tennis – tell everyone to stop grunting when they hit the ball. Save it for the bedroom.
