Welcome to the Snow Bowl

Politics. It always boils down to politics. That’s ultimately what decided the location for Super Bowl XLVIII. New Jersey? Seriously? For years people talked about having a Super Bowl here in Denver. Great place to have a game. State of the art facility. Huge fan support here. Skiing nearby. Same weather as Jersey. Actually usually much better. But Denver lacks the political clout and the financial heavyweights that determined the NFL’s first outdoor Super Bowl. In February. In New Jersey. It’s your turn to sound off on this boneheaded decision. Personally, I’m praying for a blizzard.

  1. Good Morning from Omaha,

NEW JERSEY! It didn’t take the NFL long to decide that did it. Like Denver, KC has been chasing the big game for years. The nfl told KC that if they would put a rolling cover on Arrowhead they MIGHT have a chance at a super bowl, might. There is still no superbowl in sight, even with the some of the best fans in the NFL.

Don’t know what the NFL asked denver to do to get the game but if invesco isn’t good enough for the super bowl then the nfl has a problem.

Most of the people, I hesitate to call them fans, that go to the superbowl are corporate whoha’s who want to sit inside and prestige box and don’t care much about the game.

The NFL could put the superbowl on a rotation with all of the cities that have teams getting a chance to host the game. The new stadium up in Minneapolis would be beautiful in early February. Seattle san francisco and Oakland in the rain.

wouldn’t that be great to see the superbowl in denver! or Kansas CIty!! What a shot in the arm for the economies of either city. I guess Kansas City has to field a competitive team, denver already has a good football team trying to get better, to get the attention of the nfl . Or maybe its just politics, like so much of life.

Strive for excellence, nothing but your best.

  2. As I look at this Drew I quite agree again I hope for a blizzard. Then again it will be bad if it does for all cold weather teams wanting a super bowl. Gene from my thoughts of the nfl wanting a super bowl in Denver is like having a team in Hawaii. It won’t happen. Denver is still viewed as a dusty old cowtown. Maybe it would help if we had more hall of famers in Canton than just three. Ol well at least Floyd Little is being inducted this year. GO BRONCOS!!!!!
