Cleveland: We feel your pain.

Imagine if you will, John Elway leaving the Broncos to play for the Raiders in 1995. Imagine what that would have felt like as a Broncos fan and you can get a sense of what it’s like in Cleveland today after losing LeBron James to the Heat. Here’s my cartoon about it all over on ESPN.com. I feel for the folks in Cleveland. Yeah, even the Browns fans.

  1. After the way he busted his tail for the Cavs in the Celtics series? Cleveland is better off.

Compare that to Kevin Durant’s very low-key, team-first extension announcement with the Thunder. Glad I’m an OKC fan.

  2. Good Morning from Omaha,

So now the heat have dwayne wade, chris bosh (who?) and LeBron. they are all friends, buddy’s? I think they ahve forgotten that you are only allowed to have one ball on the court at a time. And when they start reading the stat sheets and see that Dwayne has more points than chris and Lebron starts to pout, its going to be like Moe, curly, and larry. I still think you should do a cartoon showing the espn talkers acting like the NBA selecting a new pope.

You will never see a bigger bigger bunch of babies. LeBron is already talking about himself in the 3rd person.

The expectations are set way to high and the crash that is coming is going to be HUGE!!

More empty seats at b-ball games are coming. The contraction of the league is coming as some teams just will not be able to compete. and I have heard some talk about the NBA targeting baseball to become the 2nd most popular sport in america. The NBA is whistling as they are walking through the graveyard.

STrive for excellence, nothing but your best.

    Gene

  3. Or take the case of another player: 5 Titles, 2 MVPs, 8 selections to the All-NBA team (one more than total Seasons played by King James), Raises money for health and education for Chinese children, and has spent all 14 of his seasons with the same team, with no contract, free agency or trade drama.

Who knew Kobe Bryant would look like a good guy?
