The LeBron Let down

Uncategorized

My cartoon for this weekends Chicago Tribune. And, now, I promise, I’ll leave LeBron alone for awhile. The scene they made in Miami when to welcome LeBron to the team made me physically ill. If that’s the level of hero worship we’ve come to then maybe it’s time to go watch some little league games.

  1. Good Morning from Omaha,

If the owners in the NBA can be accused of collusion when trying to set values of players why isn’t there an investigation of how Dewayne, LeGone and Bosh(who?) all colluded to defraud the NBA and its fans.

Do you really think its coincidence that they all reportedly met together and in groups to set this mess up.

If you read Kisla’s column in the Post, he basically says that this has effectively killed the NBA, and goes on to enumerate the reasons.

Oh well, another reason to be outside this winter, instead of watching the NBA ( Noone But A$$holes).

  2. Heya, Gene. If you take Kiszla’s words for fact, then indeed you can be fooled. Kiszla has mentioned bad stuff about the Rox and shot his foot off too many times.

I didn’t watch “The Decision” on ESPN (another cable channel losing its touch). But what I can say is this (and I said it on Twitter):

“Free agency is part of any game. Acting like a jerk on a national network is not.”

  3. GMFO,

I can only go by what I have read of Kizla. He is not Carnac but is seemingly closer to what is going on than this old hillbilly out in Omaha.

The games in the NBA will go on, but the passion for the sport of Basketball is beyond life support. There are still too many empty seats for this charade to continue much longer.

Even billionaires knew how to do something to accumulate their wealth, and throwing their money down a rat hole like an NBA franchise, will soon get old. As a sports columnist in KC once said, ” if it doesn’t make dollars, it doesn’t make sense.”

That time of it stopping to making sense is just around the corner.
