NFL Playoffs: It’s Crying Time Again.

Geez. Talk about Parity. What a crazy couple for weeks the NFL Playoffs. Pass the Pepto, it’s upsets stomach time. Glad I’m not a betting man because it could have been ugly. Can’t believe the Patriots lost. To the Jets. To Rex Ryan. And the Falcons. So much for Matt Ryan being the second coming of Drew Brees. Oh, and speaking of Drew Brees. He’s sitting at home as well. All in all it has been quite a ride. And it aint over yet. The Good News is, we have two great games next weekend. The Bad News is we have to listen to another week of Rex Ryan, Ahh but it’s all great cartoon material. BTW. This one is on ESPN.com today

  1. Good Morning from Omaha,

the falcons got beat…which is different from what happened to the pats who beat themselves. The jets play a mean defense, when they want to, and kept the pats out of their rhythm. My wife always says “anyone can have a good day and anyone can have a bad day” For not being a lover of football she is really attuned to what happened yesterday.

Hate to burst the bear bubble but it going to be the packers and the Jets in the super bowl. The packers are hot and on a roll and the jets believe in themselves and the jerk they have for a coach.

should be a couple of good games coming up this weekend though. Only three games that count left in the season. Make each one count!

  2. Dear Drew,

Could this be the season that two wild card teams play for the Super Bowl? Green Bay and New York are just one win each away from doing that.

This leads me to another question. At the beginning of the season Coach Ryan of NY predicted his etam would be in the Super Bowl. During the season his Jets looked less than Super Bowl worthy. Is Coach Ryan on the verge of pulling the biggest con job in NFL history? Making teams thinks his team wasn’t so good while he sandbagged the season and then played lights out for the playoffs? Now normally I’m not a big conspiracy guy but I do have to ask the question.

    All the best

  3. Posted this one on the wall at the Sports department of the San Antonio Express-News. All of the Sports staffers got a big kick out of it. Thanks Drew.

So, what’s the take on Coach Fox? Read Mark Kiszla’s commentary on it and I agree that we need to trade down that #2 pick so that we can rebuild the defense. Also agree that Tebow needs to compete for the QB job and Champ Bailey needs to be resigned at any cost.
