Bears Roar in the New Year

Uncategorized

Looks like 201o went out like a lamb and in like a Bear. Da Bears are back in town. It all sets up a classic matchup between Halas and Lombardi, Cheeseheads vs Bratwurst, Chicago vs Green Bay. And I can hardly wait.

I changed the site a bit this weekend. feel free to let me what you like and what you don’t. I like doing this at least once a year. It’s a bit like cleaning out the Garage. It’s good for the soul.

  1. Dear Drew,

First of all thank you for accepting me as a “friend” on faeebook.

While the cartoon was good I honestly feel that if Chicago only plays a half worth of strong football only as they did against Seattle then Green Bay is going to beat them up like they had taken their lunch money. The Chicago defense especially seemed to coast for the final score get so relatively close after having dominated in the first half.

Now the fact that Green Bay is a heated rivalry (about the only thing that will be heated in the next game) might make a large difference in the way they play. If they get a large lead at halftime they won’t let up in the 2nd half, especially with the Super Bowl on the line.

Still the bottom line is Chicago better play better or Green Bay will be back in the Super Bowl since their loss to the Bronco’s in the 90’s. Something that no doubt would drive Bret Farve crazy.

    All the best,

    Louis

  2. Good Morning from Omaha,

The bears looked impressive yesterday. It’ll be hard to play a team for the third time , like the packers, and not know all the tricks and nuances and that goes both ways. It’ll probably be a low scoring game but I am looking forward to it being a classic.

I was never a big bear fan, because I spent some time in south dakota before cable so was force fed the Packers of Lombardi, Hornug, Starr and Taylor. with nitchke and some of the baddest guys on the planet at the time on the defense.

Hopefully we will be done painting and moving our son and daughter into their new home so we can actually watch the game- or on our way home to listen to it on the radio- just depends on the lovely Mrs.’s schedule for monday.

Strive for excellence, nothing but your best.

    Gene
