Good day to call in sick!!!

Here’s your schedule for the day.

1. Make and Pour coffee. You should have done this by now.

2. Read today’s cartoon about the Rockies season (currently doing that). Laugh (hopefully). Leave comment. Remind yourself to pick up the newest issue of Mile High Sports Magazine where the cartoon is in living color. Print makes it look Cool.

3. Click on this ESPN.com link to see other Drew cartoon for the morning. Kindly leave another comment. Drew likes these.

4. Pour another cup of coffee and enjoy a leisurely breakfast reading the News. Until you get to the story about Shanahan signing Donovan McNabb to the Redskins. Scream. Recheck your Fantasy lineup.

5. Noonish: Watch a few minutes of predictable and very controlled Tiger Woods press conference from The Masters. Refer back to this link at ESPN.com

6. 12:10 Turn it over to FSN Rocky Mountain for the Rockies vs. Brewers.

7. Post game. Nap. You’ll need it.

8. 6 p.m. Order Chicken Wings and Pizza.

9. 7 p.m. Butler vs Duke on CBS.

10. Call in sick again for Tuesday. Check ESPN.com on Tuesday morning for another Drew cartoon.

  1. Good Morning From Omaha,

The start of baseball season means that all is right with the world.

The warm days out in right field. Going to the games is an event that delivers a lifetime of memories.

Good luck to the Rockies and Royals. Hopefully the Rockies will live up to the hype and the royals

will do better than predicted(last place).

Strive for excellence, nothing but your best.

    Gene

  2. #5 is the best, mostly because my brother-in-law is a huge Cubbies fan. 🙂

    Love it, Drew!!

  3. Wish I had seen this before I got to work……..Tuesday may just see a cold coming on…….Even though the Yanks lost last night, it was so good to have baseball on in the house. Orel is great in the booth! Thanks for the heads up on The Mile High Sports Magazine! That will fill a void in the sports reporting for me.

Will Donavon keep Clinton healthy for a whole season, for that matter will Clinton stay a Redskin with Mike?

  4. #4 is THE best reason to go to a ball game, any ball game.

Opening Day, next to Christmas, this is the best day all year.

Today bears the promise of warm nights, toast hot dogs, and cold beer, the smell of popcorn and peanuts, and the steady ebb and flow of a ball game that will last all summer long.

#6 is all too true. Maybe Brady Quinn can get some reps on the mound…

    Mike

  5. I like the stab at the Cubs there Drew!! LOL funny, I hate the Cubs… One of those teams that you wish could just go away.

I liked the ESPN toon!!! Way to go!!

  6. Drew, why all of the Cubbie hate man? That’s two attacks in a week. How about some respect for the history of the club? My Cubbies do stink but we consistently sell out Wrigley; unlike Coors which only gets partially packed when the team is doing well…

Mattyg & Pat – You have no class from a fan standpoint. The Cubs are one of the oldest franchises in the league and deserve some respect. (Ernie Banks, Ryne Sandberg, Andre Dawson, Mark Grace…) I will always be a Cubs fan regardless of performance…all people here in Denver do is hop on and off of the bandwagon…

Drew, I am going to tell the Trib on you. 😉
