  1. Drew,

    I like your randomness! 🙂

Casa Bonita…I was there once – back in the early 80s, on a trip back to Colorado to visit my dad. He was nice enough to give me a view of the divers. 😉 Although, I don’t think he realized it at the time. The food was good, too. lol

The four-wheeler reminds me of my dad’s brick red Wiley Jeep, and driving up to Northfork Pass to do some stream fishing and mushroom picking. I was just a kid; but those memories are strong. I baited my own hook, and dad cleaned what we caught.

Your rafter reminds me of the beautiful Arkansas River that flows along my hometown of Salida. The upcoming FibArk Races are coming up this weekend. My uncle is being honored, posthumously, for being instrumental in sponsoring the first race, so long ago. My sister is flying down to join our dad at the festivities. Salida’s population practically doubles for the competition. Amazing!

Thanks for sparking a few memories, Drew! You make me smile, as always!

  2. Love the Casa Bonita toon. Like Dave and Peg, this one brings back the memories as a kid growing up in Denver. I haven’t been to Casa Bonita in 30+ years, but still have such fond if hazy memories of my parents taking me and Mom complaining about the food.

The rest are so fun… they have such a different feel from the blog or the paid stuff. What a different side of you. Thanks for the bonus!

    Mike
