Thought it was a good day for a double header. Now I’m not saying I think Roger Clemens is/was/ever has been a liar, but, well, I’m still not convinced we got the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

  1. Dear Drew,

Hold on to this picture. The firefighter might be needed again after the verdict of the Sardousky (forgive spelling) trial.

    All the best

  2. Good morning From Omaha,

Clemons has had his day in court and walked. He had a chance to get into the hall of fame but from what I understand he will not get in, anything soon.

He knows what really happened during the last few years of his career and will have to live with what he has done. I guess as long as he can like the man he see’s staring back at him from the mirror we should withhold our judgements.

In regards to louis’s comments the fireman is needed to hose off the public from all the filth coming from the courtroom. One person can lie, but 9 or ten saying the same thing. hmmm

We shall see what the jury says.

Strive for excellence, nothing but your best.

  3. Do we ever really learn “the truth” in these situations?

The result of this fiasco is that the taxpayers are stuck with the bill, because the feds can’t seem to keep their noses out of the drama that professional sports can create. The verdict in the Clemens case confirms three things for me: 1) the league doesn’t have as much influence and power, as it thinks it does; 2) the legal process works – though the outcome isn’t always what we expect; and 3) I much rather support minor league teams, like the St. Paul Saints, because those players really play for the love of the game, and not for the love of money.
